I saw this was a new option during the point cloud generation, should I start using this DEM rather than my standard DEM?

Hi Darren,

Great question! this DEM can be used specifically in cases where you need to process true orthophoto generation, this process produces a slightly different surface geometry than DSMs generated without a point cloud, as visibility and occlusion are
handled with greater precision.

However, If you don't require a true orthophoto generation, feel free to use the DEM and DTM generated within the DEM module.

Hey David, got it! That makes a lot of sense with what the results we have been obtaining. We rarely have to process a true ortho, however good to know we can generate a specific DSM that would give us better results.
